Two days SHG training each on Account keeping, Meeting conducting and record keeping was conducted for the Tanabana Vistar Project partners of Find Your Feet
In Azamgarh and Ghazipur districts.
The process on , “How group meetings are conducted” was done by using a tool that had six steps. This tool was used after having given the participants enough of detailing and then a live demonstration over a group activity were done in which each participant climbed a step and spoke out loudly that was written on the step. The feeling was fun filled but the message was there.
The correct process for writing savings & loan registers were detailed in which a tool was used over a practical demonstration over a group activity that would make them understand- why group loan gathers better interest benefits than bank.
The next topics covered were:
- How a passbook is written
- How to write individual savings on the savings portion of the register
- How to write loan disbursement on the lower right hand side of the savings register
- How to write the loan register
- How to write individual loan ledger
On completion of this exercise, participants were then randomly picked and were asked to come and explain on the chart paper.
